In response to the Public Works Department's herculean efforts to clean up from the October snowstorm--which brought down hundreds of trees and branches, closing roads--

Henshaw is a Hellertown native and attended both Reinhard Elementary School and the former Hellertown High School, Medei said, although he was reticent to reveal too much of the biographical information he plans to present at the dinner, which could take the form of a "roast" at times.

In addition to Henshaw and his wife, Anne, guests at the dinner are expected to include former Borough Manager Charlie Luthar, friend of the borough Bud Prosser, Saucon Valley Halloween Parade chairman and business owner David Heintzelman, and numerous other local dignitaries.

Invited local elected officials include U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent (R-15), State Sen. Lisa Boscola (D-18) and State Rep. Bob Freeman (D-136), Medei said.

"It'll be a fun evening," he added. "It's nice to be recognized by the community."

Medei said these dinners are an important fundraiser for the community center, which provides child care and also offers a wide range of activities to members of the Saucon Valley community.

Tickets for the special evening are still available at a cost of $40, and may be ordered by calling the community center at 610-838-0722 before Wednesday, Nov. 15. Payment should be made by cash, check or credit card before the event.
