Library Task Force's Final Report Expected in August

Lower Saucon Township Council was told June 6 that the Saucon Valley Library Task Force's final report will be delivered in mid-August.

The Saucon Valley Library Task Force's final report will be deliverd in mid-August, about a month later than originally anticipated, Lower Saucon Township Council was told June 6.

Township Manager Jack Cahalan told council that task force members need an additional month in order to complete their final report, which was .

He said he expects the final report to be delivered at council's Wednesday, Aug. 15 meeting.

The volunteer library task force has been meeting monthly and studying the feasibility of consolidating library services between the township and the  .

Library services for township residents are currently provided by the Bethlehem Area Public Library (BAPL), with whom the township has maintained an annual contract since 1979.
