Hellertown zoning and codes enforcement officer Kris Russo recently announced that inspections of residential rental units in the borough will likely begin again in mid-October.

The inspections were on hiatus over the summer, Russo told borough council.

Russo said landlords typically have 30 days to correct code violations that are found in rental units, although violations that represent major safety issues must be corrected within 10 days.

Information and forms related to codes enforcement in the borough are posted on the Hellertown Borough website.
