First Lower Saucon Economic Task Force Meeting Set for Jan. 29

The monthly task force meetings will be open to the public and all interested parties are invited to attend.

The first meeting of the Lower Saucon Township Economic Development Task Force will be held Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at the Township Hall, 3700 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem.

The task force was created by Lower Saucon Township Council in October to work on identifying goals, strategies and plans to attract more business to the township.

The effort has attracted more than 20 volunteers who have indicated a willingness to serve on the fask force, which is expected to meet on a monthly basis throughout the year and deliver a report on its findings and recommendations to council in October. The group is comprised of residents and business owners/managers in the township, in addition to representatives from the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce and Lehigh University.
