To commemorate and honor those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, the Hellertown American Legion Post 397, and will hold a flag raising ceremony at 9am Sept. 11, 2012 at . The flag that will be raised was donated to the historical society and flew over Shanksville, Pa. The event will include a salute by the Hellertown Legion firing squad and the playing of Taps by Dan Dysher.
