Changes to Community Day Announced
The popular one-day event in August will be held exclusively in Dimmick Park beginning this year.
The popularity of Hellertown-Lower Saucon Community Day has led organizers to relocate the entire event to Hellertown's , chairman of the H-LS Community Day Committee Craig Medei announced in a Jan. 31 press release.
The 2011 H-LS Community Day, which will be held Saturday, Aug. 20, will be staged exclusively in Dimmick Park because the event has become "so large that it has outgrown the available space around Borough Hall," a statement issued by the committee said.
In previous years, H-LS Community Day was held at Borough Hall from 9am to 3pm, and later afternoon and evening events were held at the park.

According to Medei, the move to Dimmick Park will provide more room for booths, live performances and a car show, as well as unlimited parking nearby.
This year's H-LS Community Day will be held from 10am to 8pm.

This year will also mark the 10th anniversary of H-LS Community Day's founding.
