Borough Police Officers Presented With Annual Awards
Hellertown Police Chief Robert Shupp presented five officers with performance-based awards at Borough Council's Aug. 20 meeting.
Five Hellertown police officers who went above and beyond in performing their duties in 2011 were presented with the department's annual awards Aug. 20.
Hellertown Police Chief Robert Shupp presented the awards, including the Officer of the Year plaque, which was given to Officer John Donato.
Many friends and family members of the officers were in attendance for the presentation in front of Hellertown Borough Council.

Shupp said the Officer of the Year award is chosen by the department's officers, and that Donato had received five nominations.
