Applebutter Road to Be Milled, Paved This Week

PennDOT says Applebutter Road in Bethlehem and Lower Saucon Township and Island Park Road in Williams Township will have lane restrictions with flagging from Monday through Thursday.

The summer road work season is slowly beginning to come to an end, but there's still lots of work to be done on local roads.

This week, PennDOT has announced that motorists should expect delays along Applebutter Road and Island Park Road, as crews mill and pave the rural thoroughfares that extend through the City of Bethlehem, Lower Saucon Township and Williams Township.

The project, which will last from Monday through Thursday, will take place between 9am and 2pm, according to an email from PennDOT's Engineering District 5.

Lane restrictions with flagging will be in place.

Milling and paving can be expected along a 5-mile stretch of both roads between the intersection of Applebutter and Shimersville roads in Bethlehem--which is near the City of Bethlehem wastewater treatment plant--and the intersection of Island Park and Berger roads in Williams.
