QUESTION: Please describe your role as borough manager. What are your primary responsibilities? What do you enjoy about working for the borough?

ANSWER: The borough manager is responsible to the council as a whole for the proper and efficient administration of the borough’s affairs. The position is very diversified, resulting in a range of tasks and responsibilities performed each day. As the professional administrator of the borough, I oversee the Public Works, Finance and Codes Departments, work closely with the borough engineer and solicitor, and act as a liaison between council and the community.

The most enjoyable attribute of my position as borough manager is the opportunity to meet and work with the most resolute, hardworking and committed group of people. Whether it's preserving our historic significance, creating a vision for the future, or promoting Hellertown as a destination, each person brings to the table a resolve and perseverance; everyone is dedicated to building a strong community.
