Woman Who Crashed SUV Charged With DUI: Police

Hellertown Police say Louise A. Teta, of Quakertown, was driving drunk when she allegedly struck a parked car and a utility pole in the 1000 block of Main Street.

Hellertown Police say a Quakertown woman was drunk when she crashed her SUV into a parked car and a utility pole near 1050 Main Street, allegedly breaking the pole in half and bringing wires down onto the vehicles.

According to a news release, Louise A. Teta, of the 200 block of Aubrey Drive, caused the accident at about 7:15pm March 14.

Police said Teta was determined to be under the influence of alcohol after she wax extricated from her SUV. According to lab testing, police said, Teta's blood alcohol content was .17 percent.

Teta has been charged with DUI, careless driving and Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
