Woman Rear-Ended Driver Whose Brakes Locked Up, Police Say

Pennsylvania State Police at Belfast said a woman who was driving on I-78 East in Lower Saucon Township was issued a citation for allegedly following too closely after she rear-ended another car Nov. 1.

Pennsylvania State Police at Belfast said a woman who was driving on Interstate 78 East in Lower Saucon Township was issued a citation for allegedly following too closely after she rear-ended another car Nov. 1.

In a news release, police said the accident occurred near mile marker 71 at about 5:41 p.m., after the brakes locked up on a 1998 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 19-year-old Bethlehem man.

The 2013 Hyundai Elantra driven by the woman—who police said is 49 and also from Bethlehem—was towed by Easton Auto Body, police added.
