A Nazareth area woman was cited for "Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed" after allegedly causing a rear-end accident on Interstate 78 eastbound near mile marker 71 in Lower Saucon Township.

According to a press release from state police at Belfast, Heidi C. Trach, 28, was driving a 2010 Hyundai Elantra when the vehicle in front of her began to slow down.

Trach rear-ended that car, and was subsequently rear-ended by the vehicle that was behind hers, police said.

Trach's car had to be towed from the scene of Wednesday's (Oct. 9) crash, which police said happened about 5:29 p.m.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the accident, authorities added.
