Wassergass Accident Was DUI-Related, Police Say
Lower Saucon Township Police say Randal Stoneback, of Alpine Drive, was driving under the influence of a controlled substance when he crashed into a fence in the 2400 block of Wassergass Road.
A Lower Saucon Township man was driving under the influence of a controlled substance when he caused an accident in the 2400 block of Wassergass Road May 4, police said in a news release.
Police said Randal Stoneback, of the 2500 block of Alpine Drive, crashed his Jeep into a fence shortly after 5:30 p.m.
Police responded to the accident to find Stoneback attempting to change a flat tire, and said an officer "detected signs that Stoneback was impaired."

Stoneback was given a drug evaluation at Bethlehem Township Police Department headquarters, and was later administered a blood test at the Bethlehem DUI Center, which police said "did show the presence of a controlled substance."
Stoneback has been charged with DUI-Controlled Substance, General Impairment and Careless Driving, according to authorities.
