Township Woman Cited for Allegedly Harassing Neighbor

Lower Saucon Township Police Blotter

The following incidents occurred in Lower Saucon Township, according to township police:

  • Theft - On March 4 police say Richard Paul Baker IV, of 1477 Saucon Meadow Court, Lower Saucon Township, unlawfully entered two parked vehicles at 1846 Apple Tree Lane, Lower Saucon, and removed items including cash, credit cards and personal identification. Police say Baker admitted to removing the items and was arrested for theft from a motor vehicle. Authorities said they wish to remind residents to lock their unattended vehicles, in order to deter possible thefts.
  • Harassment - On March 15 police cited Debra Smith, of 1937 Willings Lane, for allegedly harassing Edward Nakata, of 1939 Willings Lane. According to police, "Smith has engaged in (a) course of conduct by repeatedly committing acts to harass and annoy her neighbor." Smith has called Nakata at 5am to say "If I'm not sleeping, neither are you," and has banged on her neighbor's door at 6am, in addition to other acts of harassment, police said.
  • Motor Vehicle Accident - On March 17 at about 8:14am police say an accident occurred on Route 378 near Frederick Street, which is near the Bethlehem city line. According to police Frederick M. Damon, 50, of Springtown, failed to merge into the merging lane as Keith S. Phillips, 51, of Telford, "accelerated down Rt. 378. As a result, Phillips' passenger's side mirror on his vehicle struck Damon's vehicle, causing it to break."
