Township Teen Arrested in Bergstresser Burglary

Nineteen-year-old Casey John Paschall, of Lower Saucon Township, has been charged in connection with a Nov. 16 break-in at a Bergstresser Drive residence.

A Lower Saucon Township teen, accompanied by two other males, admitted to police that he went to a township home near the Bucks County line to “look around” and ask about two pickup trucks and ended up stealing a television and laptop from the home, according to court records.

Casey John Paschall, 19, of 2511 Apple St., gained entrance to the home in the 2700 block of Bergstresser Drive by breaking the door knob of the side porch door, the records say. Once inside, he took a 19-inch Philips television valued at $179 and a Hewlett-Packard laptop valued at $700. Also taken was change from two plastic cups and a Logitech wireless mouse valued at about $30.

A witness reported seeing “three younger looking males” at Pearson’s residence during the time he wasn’t home, the records say. One of the males was identified as a 16-year-old.

Police interviewed Paschall and another male Wednesday at . In addition to mentioning the desire to look around and inquire about two Chevy pickup trucks parked outside the home, Paschall said he and his companions knocked on the door and no one answered. They then broke the door knob and entered, he said.

The records give no information about any charges against the other males.

Paschall was arraigned Wednesday night before District Judge Todd Strohe of Bangor on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief. He was taken to Northampton County Prison after failing to post 10 percent of $20,000 bail.
