Teen Forged Prescription to Get Pills, Police Say
Devin Andresen, 18, accused of using 'grossly altered' Oxycodone prescription form at CVS.
An 18-year-old man is accused of forging a prescription for Oxycodone in an attempt to get a stronger dosage and a refill for the painkiller from a Hellertown pharmacy.
Court records say Devin Joseph Andresen, of 80 Mansfield St., Lower Saucon Township, walked into the CVS at 1332 Main St. Friday afternoon with a handwritten prescription for a single filling of 5mg pills of Oxycodone.
A CVS pharmacist told police the prescription was “grossly altered” in an attempt to get 15mg pills as well as a refill.
The pharmacist showed borough Patrolman John Donato the apparently changed prescription. Donato writes in a criminal complaint that “the changes … were absolutely made with a different pen.
The pharmacist refused to fill the prescription, the complaint says.
Andresen was charged with forgery and attempt to commit acquisition by misrepresentation, etc. – both felonies.
He was arraigned Friday night by on-duty District Judge Jackie Taschner of Palmer Township and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
