Street Signs Knocked Down, Damaged, Police Say

Hellertown Police want to know who knocked down and damaged numerous street signs in the borough.

Hellertown Police say they are investigating damage done to numerous street signs in or near the borough's Mountainview neighborhood.

In a news release, police said that on the morning of Sept. 8 officers responding to a criminal mischief complaint discovered street signs for Maple and Juniper roads in the front yard of a residence in the 900 block of Juniper Road.

"After further investigation it was discovered that the street signs for Willow Road at Juniper Road, Rentzheimer at New York Avenue and Water Street at Delaware Avenue were also knocked down and damaged," police said.

Anyone with information about who damaged the signs is asked to call Hellertown Police at 610-838-7040 as soon as possible.
