Stop Sign Damage Under Investigation

Lower Saucon Township Police say a stop sign at Bingen Road and Reading Drive was found in brush on the side of the road.

Lower Saucon Township Police are trying to figure out what happened to a stop sign at Reading Drive and Bingen Road.

In a news release, police said the sign was discovered on its side in brush, and that "there was a tire mark in the grass where the sign would have stood."

Oddly, there was "no transfer paint or bends in the sign," police added.

Nevertheless, police indicated that "a white tractor-trailer" may have come into contact with the stop sign before it was found at the roadside Sept. 6.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lower Saucon Township Police at 610-317-6110.
