Saturday's Icy Roads Caused Multiple Accidents

Lower Saucon Township Police Blotter

The following incidents occurred in Lower Saucon Township on the morning of Saturday, Feb. 5, according to the Lower Saucon Township Police Department.

Travel conditions were poor at the time, and state police recommended that motorists avoid ice-coated area roads until the temperature rose above freezing.

  • Motor Vehicle Accident - On Feb. 5 at 7:36am police say Gayland Aston, of 106 Quaker Drive, Bethlehem, was southbound on Leithsville Road/Rt. 412 when her vehicle slid on a patch of ice and rolled onto its passenger side at 2043 Leithsville Road. No injuries were reported, but Aston was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed, police said.
  • Motor Vehicle Accident - On Feb. 5 at 7:56am police say Michaelene C. Roesch, of 628 Greene Court, Bethlehem, crashed her vehicle into the front yard of a residence on Old Philadelphia Pike. Police charged Roesch with failing to drive at a safe speed.
  • Motor Vehicle Accident - On Feb. 5 at 8:29am police say Armando Rodriguez, of 345 W. Susquehanna St., Allentown, crashed his vehicle on Meadows Road at Willimet Lane. Police charged Rodriguez with failure to drive at a safe speed.
