Residents Displaced by Black River Road Fire

The Red Cross says it has offered assistance to two families displaced by the Monday afternoon fire.

The American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley says it has offered assistance to two families displaced by an apartment fire at 2441 Black River Road in Lower Saucon Township Monday.

According to a press release, "the Red Cross provided meals, clothing, stuffed animals and toiletry items to a family of one adult and one child. The family is staying with relatives."

A second family that was displaced was not home at the time of the fire, but assistance will be available to them when they return, the organization said.

The Red Cross said its staff responded to the scene of the fire, which is near Route 378, at 2:52pm.
