Police: Woman Tackled Boyfriend on West Saucon Street

Amanda Beveridge, of Bethlehem Township, was charged with simple assault and harassment following the alleged incident.

A Bethlehem Township woman tackled her boyfriend off the deck at a home in Hellertown Friday night, borough police say.

According to court records, police were called to 55 W. Saucon St. for the report of a domestic disturbance.

At the scene, a man named Dustin Hennniger told police his girlfriend, Amanda Beveridge, had hit him and tackled him off the deck, causing a bloody and swollen lip.

Court records say Beveridge, 22, of 3625 Miller St., "suffered the onset of an issue" that caused her to be briefly hospitalized. After she was released, police say she admitted to hitting and tackling her boyfriend.

She was arraigned before District Judge Daniel Corpora in Easton and charged with simple assault and harassment. She was free on $2,000 bail.
