Police: Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery of 'Some Bud'

Lower Saucon Township Police say an April 24 traffic stop resulted in the discovery of 74 grams of marijuana, a scale, cash, packaging materials and other items often associated with the sale of drugs.

An April 24 traffic stop at Seidersville Road and South Mountain Drive led to the discovery of 74 grams of marijuana and resulted in an Allentown man's arrest for possession with intent, announced Monday.

According to a police department press release, Luis Rivera, of the first block of West Liberty Street, was stopped at 4:16pm for driving while under suspension (DUI-related).

"When Rivera was advised that he was going to be cited for driving under suspension and that the vehicle would be towed, Rivera admitted to have 'some bud' behind his driver seat," police said.
