Police: Man Wrecked Car at Bingen and Old Mill

Lower Saucon Township Police say Christopher M. Mamy, of the 1000 block of Third Avenue, Hellertown, will be cited for driving too fast on Jan. 25. Police said Mamy crashed his car at Old Mill and Bingen roads.

Although roads were snow- and slush-covered at the time, Lower Saucon Township Police say a local motorist will be cited for "Driving at Safe Speeds" following an accident that occurred Friday, Jan. 25.

In a news release, police said Christopher M. Mamy, of the 1000 block of Third Avenue, Hellertown, reported that he was traveling at approximately 30mph in a posted 40mph zone on Bingen Road southbound when he approached the curve at the intersection with Old Mill Road.

"According to the tire marks in the snow, (Mamy) appeared to cross into the opposite lane of travel, then cross back over to the correct lane of travel," police said.
