Police: Man Kicked Township Resident Following Argument

Lower Saucon police have charged Charles Lapinski with simple assault and harassment as a result of the alleged Oct. 2 incident on Skyline Drive.

A Bethlehem Township man faces charges of simple assault and harassment after allegedly kicking a Lower Saucon man following an argument over a tree, township police said Monday.

According to a Lower Saucon Police Department press release, Charles Lapinski, of 1825 Fifth St., Bethlehem Township, and Ronald Sterner, of the 2100 block of Skyline Drive, Lower Saucon Township, "have a history of conflict regarding property lines and right-of-way" in the vicinity of Sterner's address.

On Oct. 2 at 2:48pm, police say an argument broke out between the two men over the cutting of a tree in or around a right-of-way near Sterner's home.

During the argument, police say "Sterner approached Lapinski 'yelling' (about the tree)...at which point Lapinski kicked Sterner."
