Police: Man 'Became Irate' When Fuel Pump Didn't Work

Hellertown police say Joseph Posch, of Allentown, was cited for disorderly conduct after allegedly causing a scene at the Citgo gas station on Main Street in the borough.

An Allentown man "became irate" when a fuel pump he was attempting to use at the gas station didn't work, and as a result he "used vulgar language, engaged in threatening behavior and stated that he was going to drive his vehicle through the building," borough police said in a press release Monday.

According to authorities, the alleged incident occurred Nov. 20, when Joseph F. Posch, 65, of the 1300 block of East Highland Street, Allentown, stopped at the gas station at 1020 Main Street at about 7:40pm.

Officers were called to the station for a report of a disturbance and were informed by an unidentified victim that Posch had allegedly caused a scene, police said.
