Missing Man's Body Pulled from Pond
Hellertown Police and the Northampton County Coroner's Office confirmed Wednesday afternoon that the body pulled from one of the Grist Mill Park ponds is that of Steven P. Lockard, who went missing from that area March 28.
Hellertown Police and the Northampton County Coroner's Office have confirmed the identity of the person whose body was pulled from one of the ponds in the borough's Grist Mill Park Wednesday afternoon.
In a news release, police said the body that was found is that of Steven P. Lockard, 38, of Allentown, who went missing while visiting the park March 28.
Police publicized Lockard's disappearance Tuesday and said that although he was believed to suffer from a mental disability, he was not considered a threat to members of the public.

Police said Lockard's cause and manner of death are pending the completion of an autopsy and investigation.
Emergency officials responded to the ponds early Wednesday afternoon and the coroner was later summoned following the discovery of Lockard's body.
