Police: Early Morning Car Alarm Annoyed Residents

Lower Saucon Township police say some residents of the Steel City section of the township were unable to enjoy a restful night's sleep because of a car alarm that sounded for more than two hours April 27.

Early on the morning of April 27, the repeated blasting of a car alarm irritated a number of Steel City residents for hours, Lower Saucon Township police said Monday.

According to a police department press release, the car alarm sounded from 4:44am to 6:56am and emanated from a white Honda Civic sedan that was parked in the lot at 611 Auto, 2162 Riverside Drive.

The continuous, loud noise caused "residents around the garage to become quite annoyed during the early morning hours," police said.
