Police: Boy Stole Tractor, Rode It 'Around Hellertown'

Hellertown police say a juvenile male stole a John Deere tractor from Neighbors Home and Garden Center and rode it through the borough early on the morning of March 25.

A local youth gave new meaning to the term "joy ride" when he stole a John Deere tractor March 25, although a Hellertown business is probably not amused by his alleged stunt.

According to a police department press release, the juvenile male was observed riding the tractor "around Hellertown" at about 4am.

It was stolen from , 38 Main St., at about 1am, police said, adding that both the tractor and property at Neighbors were damaged during the theft.
