Police: Borough Man Possessed 'Large Quantity of Cocaine'

Hellertown police say David F. Hirschbeck, of Spruce Street, was also found to be in possession of crystal meth, a small amount of marijuana and stolen property on Oct. 7.

In the course of , Hellertown police say they stumbled upon "a large quantity of cocaine, crystal meth, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia" in the possession of David F. Hirschbeck, of 31 Spruce Street, Hellertown.

According to an Oct. 17 press release from the Hellertown Police Department, Hirschbeck, 41, was still in possession of the stolen property from Bethlehem when contact was made with him on Oct. 7 at 1:04pm.

"Through further investigation," police said, the drugs and other items were discovered in his possession.

Hirschbeck was later arraigned on charges of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

He was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of 10 percent of $15,000 bail, according to the press release.
