Poconos Men Arrested in Hellertown on Drug Charges

Hellertown Police say two 20-year-old men from Kunkletown, Monroe County, were found to be in possession of heroin following an Oct. 11 traffic stop in the 600 block of Main Street.

The arrest of two Poconos men on drug charges Oct. 11 was triggered by a report of possible drug use in the parking lot of the Rite Aid store at Main and Walnut streets, Hellertown Police announced Thursday.

Police said in a press release that an officer who was responding to the store spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspects' vehicle traveling north on Main Street. The officer then made a U-turn and stopped the vehicle in the 600 block of Main Street, according to the release.

Inside the vehicle--which was searched--police said they found heroin and drug paraphernalia.
