Pa. Supreme Court Could Hear L. Saucon Man's Appeal

Jacob M. Christine is appealing a nine- to 20-year sentence for a razor attack on another inmate at Northampton County Prison in 2009.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court could consider an appeal by a Lower Saucon Township man convicted of slashing a Nazareth man with a razor while both were incarcerated at Northampton County Prison in 2009, the Morning Call reported.

The newspaper reported that the nine- to 20-year sentence Jacob M. Christine received for the attack was upheld by an evenly divided state Superior Court, with Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli believing it likely that the state Supreme Court will want to weigh in on the matter.
