Maple Syrup Poured on Car, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say male genitalia were also drawn on the car parked on Dartford Road, in what is being investigated as a case of criminal mischief.

A car parked in the 1900 block of Dartford Road was recently the target of a prankster, Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release.

According to police, maple syrup was poured on the vehicle and male genitalia were drawn on its rear hatch.

"On the mailbox was found what appeared to be residue from shaving cream," police said, adding that they are investigating the unusual activity as a case of criminal mischief.

Earlier this month, township police reported that they were investigating the drawing of male genitalia on two different houses—one on Glenview Drive and one on Alice Drive.

In at least one of those incidents, shaving cream may have been used to produce the vulgar image, police said.

Anyone with information about the porch drawings or the Dartford Road incident—which occurred during the overnight hours of Aug. 25-26—is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
