Lower Saucon Township police say Jaime Daniel Fernandez, of Bethlehem, was arrested on drug charges after he allegedly dropped a bag of crack cocaine from his vehicle Oct. 23.

A Bethlehem man was arrested for drug possession and paraphernalia possession Oct. 23, after Lower Saucon Township police say he attempted to conceal a small bag of crack cocaine and "an illegal smoking device" by dropping them from his car's driver's side window.

According to a police department press release, Jaime Daniel Fernandez, of the 500 block of Ontario Street, was stopped at Mountain Drive and College Drive at 7:30pm after he was observed by an officer "driving at an unusually slow rate of speed and swerving back and forth across the roadway."

"After emergency lights were activated, this officer observed two small items carefully dropped from the driver side window," the press release stated.
