A Lower Saucon Township man and a girl from Macungie were charged with theft and receiving stolen property after police say they stole and sold several pieces of a relative's jewelry in order to buy crack cocaine.

Police identified the man as Patrick Zimmerman, of the 3700 block of Old Philadelphia Pike.

The girl is a juvenile, police said.

In a news release, authorities said the two sold the jewelry valued at more than $2,100 at various jewelry and pawn shops throughout the Lehigh Valley.

The jewelry was later recovered, they added.
