Man Punched on I-78 Exit Ramp, Police Say

State police at Belfast said a Bethlehem man was cited for harassment after he allegedly punched another man while stopped for a traffic light on the I-78 westbound exit ramp at Route 412.

A Bethlehem man has been cited for harassment after he allegedly punched another man on the Interstate 78 westbound exit ramp to Route 412, according to state police at Belfast. 

Police said David Enrico Mendoza, 22, was stopped for a traffic light when he exited his vehicle on the ramp in Bethlehem, approached a 23-year-old man in another vehicle, and punched the other man through an open window.

The "victim was seated in the passenger's seat," police said.

The alleged incident occurred at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday "following a dispute...on I-78 westbound," they added.
