Man Molested Hellertown Child in 2001, Police Say

A Hatfield, Montgomery County man has been charged with sexually abusing a Hellertown child in 2001, borough police announced Thursday.

According to a Hellertown Police Department press release, James Morgan, 46, of the 400 block of Edgewood Drive, Hatfield, has been charged with multiple counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children, indecent assault, indecent exposure and corruption of minors.

Police said their investigation of Morgan began Jan. 3, 2012, after "allegations of sexual abuse of a child alleged to have occurred in 2001" surfaced.
