Man Drove Truck on SVHS Baseball Field, Caused $1,800 in Damage, Police Say

In a news release issued Tuesday, police said Joseph George Polak II, of the 2400 block of Easton Road, drove on the field during the overnight hours of Dec. 14.

A Lower Saucon Township man has been charged with criminal mischief and criminal trespassing after police say he drove his truck across a Saucon Valley High School baseball field and caused approximately $1,800 in damage to grass.

In a news release issued Tuesday, police said Joseph George Polak II, of the 2400 block of Easton Road, drove on the field during the overnight hours of Dec. 14.

The press release didn't indicate whether the alleged driving is believed to have been recreational in nature, but a winter storm dumped a significant amount of snow and sleet on the Saucon Valley on Saturday, Dec. 14.

As a tax-payer who helped to pay for those baseball fields, I care, when some dingbat decides to wheel with his truck across a baseball field causing $1,800 in damages. If you want to wheel, there are numerous places around here to do it. I like wheelin' as much as the next guy, but I respect property rights and general decency.

Did he say why he did it? did he know it was a baseball field? Was he drunk? What kind of driving is considered recreational in nature other than on a track or specified site for such activity?

It doesn't matter why he did it or if he was drunk. He should have to pay for the damage he caused .@Chris, Would you like anyone to do that to your lawn?

Seriously? Someone asked WHY he did it? He did it because he is a friggen MORON. His parents raised a piece of crap.
