An Easton man is accused of giving officers a fake name and birth date following a traffic stop.

Lower Saucon Township Police say an Easton man who was stopped for allegedly speeding on Applebutter Road near IESI Bethlehem Landfill gave officers a false name and date of birth because he was driving on a suspended license at the time.

In a news release issued Friday, police said Jarvis K. Curtis, 27, of the 500 block of Valley Avenue, told police his name was "Jaycobe Bryant" when he was stopped on the afternoon of Nov. 13.

Police said Curtis admitted to providing a fake name and was charged with false ID to law enforcement, driving on a suspended license and speeding.
