Man Drew 'Threatening Pictures,' Police Say
Hellertown Police say Christopher J. Szipocs, of Second Avenue, was charged with disorderly conduct.
Hellertown Police said a man who was allegedly observed acting suspiciously in the 900 block of Detweiler Avenue "drew threatening pictures on pieces of paper and made statements about harming himself" after he was taken into custody.
In a news release, police said Christopher J. Szipocs, of the 1200 block of Second Avenue, Hellertown, was initially arrested for disorderly conduct at Linden and First avenues.
That was after officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Detweiler Avenue at 7:26 p.m. Aug. 5, for a report of "a suspicious person walking in (a) yard," the release said.
After Szipocs allegedly drew the pictures and made the statements about self-harm at police headquarters, he was taken to the hospital for an evaluation, police said.
