Man Cited Following Crash at Route 378, Puggy Lane

Lower Saucon Township Police said a Slatington man was cited for 'turning without ensuring the movement could be done with safety' after he allegedly caused an accident by turning left onto Rt. 378 northbound from Puggy Lane.

Lower Saucon Township Police said a Slatington man was cited for "turning without ensuring the movement could be done with safety" after he allegedly caused an accident by turning left onto Route 378 northbound from Puggy Lane.

In a news release, police said the accident occurred Nov. 14 at about 3:09 p.m., when Travis Christopher Nelmes, of the 4200 block of Cider Press Road, was turning left when he was struck by a Bethlehem motorist.

Police said the Bethlehem man was southbound on Route 378 and was attempting to make it through a yellow light at the time of the accident.

Nelmes was taken to St. Luke's University Hospital for treatment of minor injuries related to the crash, police added.
