Man Cited After Allegedly Being Found Drunk in Roadway

Lower Saucon police say Charles Edward Bishop Jr. was found lying in the road at Mount Pleasant Road and Route 412 early on Aug. 1.

A 19-year-old Salisbury Township man was cited for underage drinking and public drunkenness after he was allegedly found lying in the roadway at Mount Pleasant Road and Route 412 early on the morning of Aug. 1, Lower Saucon Township police said Aug. 5.

Charles Edward Bishop Jr., of the 2200 block of South Ellsworth Street, was found to be intoxicated when officers made contact with him at 5:59am, police said.

Bishop was subsequently transported to St. Luke's Hospital by EMS, they added.
