Man Charged in Willow Road Assault, Police Say

A Bethlehem man has been charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment in connection with a fight in the 500 block of Willow Road.

A Bethlehem man has been charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment in connection with a fight in the 500 block of Willow Road, Hellertown Police said Tuesday in a press release.

According to police, Bradley William Jones, 26, of the 700 block of E. Seventh Street, was intoxicated when he drove to the neighborhood on the afternoon of Sept. 1.

The person Jones allegedly fought with there was knocked to the ground and suffered two broken ribs and a punctured lung, police said.

Officers who were called to the scene observed Jones attempting to fight with the victim, they added.

Jones was determined to have a blood-alcohol content of .16, police said. The legal limit for being drunk in Pennsylvania is .08 percent.

He was also charged with DUI and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage, they said.
