A Perkasie man caused an accident on Route 378 in Lower Saucon Township when he retrieved a cigarette he dropped while driving, according to police.
In a news release issued Monday, township police said Jeremy Hill, of the 100 block of W. Main Street, was driving a white GMC Envoy near Black River Plaza when "he dropped his cigarette, went to pick it up and rear-ended" an Acura driven by an Easton resident.
Police said there were no injuries as a result of the Sept. 22 accident.
Hill will be cited with driving under suspension and careless driving, they added.
