Man Arrested for Sixth DUI, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say Gregory Hood, 33, of the 200 block of W. Fourth Street, Bethlehem, was arrested for DUI following a Reading Drive traffic stop.

A Bethlehem man was arrested for DUI for the sixth time following a Reading Drive traffic stop, Lower Saucon Township Police announced in a news release.

According to police, Gregory Hood, 33, of the 200 block of W. Fourth Street, was stopped after another motorist called in a complaint about a reckless driver.

Police said that Hood was subsequently found to be driving a vehicle with no registration plate while under the influence of alcohol.

He was also determined to be wanted by the Lehigh County Sheriff's Department, as well as Florida and Texas authorities, police said.

Hood, who refused a blood test, was taken to Northampton County Prison following his Aug. 23 arrest, the press release indicated.

Police said Hood has been charged with DUI, driving under suspension (DUI-related), driving an unregistered vehicle, careless driving, driving without insurance, driving without state inspection and restrictions on alcoholic beverages.
