Man Arrested Following Wilson Avenue Traffic Stop

Hellertown Police say Darius J. McPherson, 34, of the 1400 block of Detweiler Avenue, Hellertown, was arrested on retail theft and drug-related charges.

A man who was stopped in the 400 block of Wilson Avenue because he was suspected in a Bethlehem Township retail theft case was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, Hellertown Police said in a news release.

According to police, Darius J. McPherson, 34, of the 1400 block of Detweiler Avenue, Hellertown, was also driving without a license when he was stopped on the afternoon of May 13.

Police said McPherson was arrested by Bethlehem Township Police on retail theft charges.

Hellertown Police have filed charges related to the alleged narcotics and traffic-related charges.
