Man Allegedly Threatened to 'Bash' Baby's Head

Court records indicate that Jay Lawrence Huff, 43, made threats toward his ex-girlfriend and her baby last week. He has been charged with terroristic threats and harassment.

A Hellertown woman told police last week that her former boyfriend was making repeated phone threats to come to her house and “bash” her head and the head of her 3-month-old daughter.

The former boyfriend, Jay Lawrence Huff, 43, eventually was charged, but not until being “very uncooperative” with a borough police officer who came to the woman’s home, court records say.

Huff first told officer Jeffrey Johnston that he was “going to beat someone’s a--.”

When Johnston asked who, Huff replied, “don’t worry about it,” according to the records.

Johnston then asked Huff to come to the borough police station.

“F--- you, I’m not going to jail for something that b---- is making up,” the records quote Huff as telling Johnston.

That conversation took place Nov. 20.

Huff, however, wasn't taken into custody until Sunday, when he was charged with terroristic threats and harassment.

He was arraigned by on-duty District Judge John Capobianco of Nazareth and released on $7,500 unsecured bail.

The woman Huff allegedly threatened told Johnston that Huff was upset because he was accused of taking money from her.

The court records list Huff’s address as both Hellertown and the first block of W. Spruce Street, Bethlehem.
