Man Allegedly Spits in Police Officer's Face

Michael Scott Zekind, 26, of the 2600 block of Quincy Avenue, Lower Saucon Township, is facing charges that include aggravated assault.

A Lower Saucon Township man was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, public drunkenness, harassment and disorderly conduct, after he allegedly struggled with police officers and spat in one's face, according to an article in the Express-Times.

According to the article, which cites court records, Michael Scott Zekind, 26, of the 2600 block of Quincy Avenue, was sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $35,000 bail following the incident, which reportedly began when police received a report of a man rolling around in the intersection of Quincy and Mixsell avenues in Steel City.
