Hellertown Police say a borough man was charged with two counts of providing false identification to law enforcement, after he allegedly provided police officers with fake names on two different occasions in December.

In a news release, police said Jerome Staggers, of the 600 block of Main Street, identified himself as "Sherod Goff" on Dec. 8 and as "Rod Gulf" on Dec. 25.

Police said Staggers also supplied an incorrect date of birth when officers responded to his home on those dates.
