Main Street Meth Lab Operator Sent to State Prison

James Hero, who earlier this year pleaded guilty to drug charges associated with his operation of a meth lab in Hellertown, was sentenced to 5 to 10 years in state prison in Northampton County Court Friday.

The Hellertown man whose Main Street was sentenced to 5 to 10 years in state prison in Northampton County Court by judge Michael Koury Friday, according to an article published by the Express-Times.

--including possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver in the presence of a minor--in January.

Hero's common-law wife, Colleen Yob, 40, pleaded guilty to recklessly endangering another person and possession of drug paraphernalia in January, and was sentenced by Koury to time already served.

The newspaper reported that Yob sobbed as Hero was led from the courtroom in handcuffs, after a request by his lawyer to allow him to spend a last weekend with the couple's 10-year-old son before beginning his sentence was denied by the judge.
