Woman Arrested for DUI at Countryside Lane and Easton Road

On Aug. 4 at 2:04am police say Donna Marie Pinkowicz, of the 3400 block of Lower Saucon Road, Lower Saucon Township, was stopped for a traffic infraction at Countryside Lane and Easton Road. Police said in a press release that Pinkowicz was found to be under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .15 percent. Pinkowicz has been charged with DUI, they added.

On Aug. 5 at 1:44am police say Khanh D. Ho, 44, of the first block of Roosevelt Avenue, Hatfield, was stopped for speeding on Route 378 near West Eighth Street in Bethlehem. Police said in a press release that Ho was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and subsequently determined to have a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .09 percent.

On Aug. 5 at 2:13am police say they stopped Kerri Lynn Tolan, of the 4800 block of Hycliff Chase, Upper Saucon Township, was stopped for a traffic infraction at Route 378 and Colesville Road. Police said in a press release that Tolan was found to be under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .16 percent. Tolan has been charged with DUI, they added.

Juvenile Charged With ATV Violation

On Aug. 12 at 3:38pm police say a complaint was made about an ATV violation that allegedly occurred at 4303 Lower Saucon Road. Police said in a press release that it was determined that a juvenile had operated the ATV in violation of a township ordinance that restricts the vehicles' use. 

Man Arrested for DUI Near Lower Saucon and Redington Roads

On Aug. 21 at 9:31pm police say Terry Lee Deemer Jr., of the 2200 block of Fairview Avenue, Wilson, was stopped on Lower Saucon Road near Redington Road for vehicle equipment violations. Police said in a press release that Deemer was later determined to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and has been charged with DUI, police said.

Police: Faulty Headlight Leads to DUI Arrest on Applebutter Road

On Aug. 25 at 9:45pm police say Cole Weidner, of the 300 block of Kichline Road, Williams Township, was stopped for driving a vehicle with a faulty headlight on Applebutter Road near Countryside Lane. Police said in a press release that the odor of an alcoholic beverage "could be detected emitting from within (Weidner's) vehicle" at the time of the stop. Weidner, who allegedly failed field sobriety tests, was arrested and later charged with DUI, police said.

Police: Double Yellow Line Crossovers Lead to DUI Arrest

On Aug. 26 at 3:15am police say Kirsten S. Williams, of the 2100 block of Mixsell Avenue, Lower Saucon, was stopped on Applebutter Road near Lower Saucon Road after her vehicle was allegedly observed swerving on the roadway and crossing the double yellow center line several times. Police said in a press release that after Williams was stopped, "an odor of an alcoholic beverage could be detected emitting from within the vehicle." Williams, who allegedly failed field sobriety tests, was arrested and later charged with DUI, police said.

Woman Injured in Hit-And-Run Accident on Applebutter Road

On Aug. 26 at 4:11pm police say Amy Flores, of the 2500 block of Applebutter Road, was westbound in the 2400 block of Applebutter when an eastbound red van struck her sideview mirror, causing the glass to shatter and fly into the vehicle. Police said in a press release that Flores suffered scratches and lacerations on her face and arm. She was treated at the scene by but refused transport to a local hospital, police said. Anyone who witnessed the accident or with information about the van--which may have been a GMC--is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Police Department at 610-317-6110.

Man's Dog Ran Loose, Attacked Other Dog at Town Hall Park, Police Say

On Aug. 26 at 7:10pm police say William Rivera, of the 2200 block of Forest Hill Drive, Bethlehem, was cited for failing to have his dog registered (a violation of the Pennsylvania dog law) after his dog allegedly ran loose at and attacked another dog, causing injuries.

Police: Blunt Found in Rydal Man's Car

On Aug. 26 at 9:52pm police say Michael Noone, of the 900 block of Meetinghouse Road, Rydal, Pa., was observed making an illegal left turn from Rt. 378 onto Mountain Drive. Police said in a press release that Noone's vehicle was stopped and an odor of marijuana detected. "(Noone) admitted to someone having been smoking marijuana within the vehicle recently and upon giving consent to a search, a blunt containing a small amount was found," police said. Noone has been charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Locks Reported Cut at Applebutter Road Storage Facility

On Aug. 30 police say Bonnie Doncsecz, of the 1900 block of Herbert Avenue, Lower Saucon Township, reported that two locks valued at $50 were cut off her storage unit at the 2391 Applebutter Road storage facility sometime in June. Police said they are investigating the incident, which they described as criminal mischief. Anyone with information about it is asked to contact Lower Saucon Township Police at 610-317-6110 or 610-330-2200.
